UCC Societies: Fempower: Inter-Varsity Feminist Festival

You are cordially invited to UCC Feminist Society's first ever #FEMPOWER: Inter-Varsity Feminist Festival, on Saturday the 18th of February 2017!

#Fempower is a day long, inter-varsity training day for feminists all over Ireland. 

The day will begin with registration from 9.00am, followed by a quick introductory session with some ice-breakers thrown in for good measure!

Then, from 11.00am - the real fun begins. Workshops will be given in three slots:

- 11.00am-12.00pm

- 12.00pm-1.00pm

- 1.00pm-2.00pm

The workshop line up is as follows.. 

*Exploring Privilege

*Feminism in Popular Culture (OITNB/Kim Kardashian)

*Key Skills to Repeal the 8th
*Trans 101 Inclusion in the Feminist Movement
*How to Run a Kickass Feminist Society
*Art Creativity
*Women in Leadership
*An Exploration of Trans History 
& one or two more to be confirmed! 

At registration, you will be given the opportunity to pick the workshops you attend.

From 2.00pm-2.30pm, lunch will be provided - with options for everyone! 
Then, from 2.30pm, the evening sessions will begin with two panels of incredible speakers. 

*2.30pm-4.00pm: Repeal the 8th Panel with Ailbhe Smyth and Tara Flynn.

*4.00pm-5.00pm: Irish Icons Panel with Rosemary McCabe and Shawna Scott.
